A Long Holiday Celebration of God’s Love
…Thanksgiving into Christmas…
Do you feel like me? It seems that 2020 is a blur with all that we have faced.
And now we are going from Thanksgiving into the Christmas season quickly.
But… it is an opportunity to see this as “a long holiday celebration of God’s Love”. Being so thankful for all the blessings of God in spite of our circumstances and situations and then focusing on the greatest blessing of all, God’s gift of His Son, our Savior, Jesus the Christ to usher us into 2021.
I am so excited as I watch God at Work all around us. Have you ever noticed how certain things seem to make your Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons? And this year we have to be creative. There are special events and traditions that draw us into these special Holiday (Holy Days) Celebrations. It seems as if God Himself is “hidden” in the meaning of the Thanksgivng Traditions or the Christmas Stories, or any of our many Christmas Celebrations. How does God reveal Himself to you during this time of the year. Is it special? Will you share it with others as a witness of God being with “us” all? Will you make your blessings evident daily?
“I thank my God every time I remember you….And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ-to the glory and praise of God.”

On the Wednesday before Thanksgiving we will have our annual “Thanksgiving Praise Service” to celebrate and tell of the blessings of God in our lives. In our new normal this will be online only. It is a joy indeed to share God’s Word with you weekly.
