Welcome to Fall! I love this time of the year. As Solomon reminds us in Ecclesiastes 3: “He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, He has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that He cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.” It is so beautiful outside and Midwood is back to meeting on Sundays at 11:00 a.m. both in person and on line. We are also getting our website updated a little bit as we seek to invite you to join us back at Midwood Church in person. We are in the planning stages of opening up our ministries, but you can worship with us live on Sunday Mornings at 11:00 in our safe santuary with many precautions.
We have been busy this summer with several ministry projects. We delivered goodie bags to many of our shut-in’s August 30th through September 2, we participated in Midwood Gives Back and raised over $7,000 which amounts to 49,000 pounds of food for second harvest food bank. We are supporting our ethnic congregations in their startups, and helping their staff financially. And in November, we are doing a virtual Mission trip to the Appalachian Coalfield Ministry in Kentucky. We will work from our location here and then transport them to help them (School Supplies, Food kits, etc.)
We are continuing our study through the book of Isaiah and having small group online Bible Studies each week on Zoom to share with each other. So, look over our website and see how God is beginning to do a new thing in our midst. We would love for you to be a part and join us where God is at work!
“Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap steadfast love; break up your fallow ground, for it is the time to seek the Lord, that he may come and rain righteousness upon you.” Hosea 10:12
All my love,
Pastor Garry
P.S… Don’t Forget that Daylight Saving Time ends at 2am on November 1st.
